The under-15 national football team have finally earned themselves a win in the on-going ‘The 12th Chairman of Korea U-15 Football League International Football Tournament’ in South Korea.

The youngsters had suffered defeat in all their starting games but finally won a match against Chinese club Shanghai SIPG on Friday. They defeated the Chinese club 5-4 in penalties.

The was the first of two matches left for young stars to determine the final ranking for the tournament. South Sudan headed into the match as underdogs considering that Shanghai SIPG are one of Asia’s richest clubs. This result will be a great boost in confidence for the U-15 team, who are expected to play their final match this weekend.

Meanwhile, the SAM Hospital in South Korea has provided a free medical check-up for the entire U-15 national team squad. They also generously gave a gift to the goalkeeper for his efforts.
