At least eleven people were killed on Bor – Mangalla road yesterday when unknown gunmen opened fire on a car carrying passengers.

A close source to the slain and a survivor told HIJ that unknown gunmen attacked the vehicles along Bor-Mangalla road, shooting at least eight woman and three children dead.

Some of the photos shared on social media showed bloody bodies.

Last month six aid workers and their driver were killed along Bor-Mangalla road, in the worst single attack on humanitarian staff in the country’s.

Bor-Mangalla highway is popular with traders between towns and residents returning to Jonglei state.
