It’s with great honor that the appointment of the youngest member of a state legislative assembly (Hon. Nyakenya Johannes Keah) in Unity State was endorsed and fully accepted by her constituency’s netizens.
Hon. Nyakenya Johannes Keah is a young vibrant 4th year undergraduate scholar of Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya.
She is pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science (Majoring in Mathematics and Statistics).

In Brief:
After finishing her high school in Kenya where she passed with flying colors, she did a short course in humanitarian logistics and decided to pay a short visit back home (Unity State) upon completion of the course.
In her stay, she interacted with few friendly social & humanitarian workers which landed her voluntary works. She became part and parcel of Me4Her mentors program and gender based violence personnel. She immediately became a mentor and an inspiration to young girls in Unity State and her social media followers across the country.

The spirit of being a member of her state legislative assembly rose with hope under a motivation of wanting to implement few social activities, that would see young girls exercise their rightful duties as that of an opposite sex, majorly in education and other basic equal status.
Her chances of being a member of parliament were minimal and the dream faded into a dark cloud of another day hope.

She then become an active presenter in her humanitarian course which granted her a golden opportunity to represent South Sudan in Tokyo in 2018 with a group of other 20 vibrant South Sudanese youth under UNITAR – SOUTH SUDAN.
Her hope and vision as an organ of her constituency information to the legislative assembly was finally cemented on 26th November 2021.

The Honourable dream of writing a future that will see the lives of children and women being prioritized are what awaits the unity state beneficiaries of her appointment.
Her dreams of being part of her state enacted laws, approve public expenditure and monitoring the work of the local government is now in her disposal.

She is a married successful entrepreneur, a real estate agent and a diehard philanthropist/ humanitarian.
