Nuer’s White Army has defected and joined the government, a senior government official said today.

According to Gordan Buay, a senior government official, the White Army declared their allegiance to the government days after Minister of labour, Gathoth Gatkuoth Hothnyang had a series of talk of the militia group.

“Today on January 1st, 2020, Jikany White Army declared their allegiance to the Government of South Sudan in front of Gov. Gen. Gathoth Gatkuoth Hothnyang,” Busy posted on social media.

“Tomorrow, prophetess Nyawuor Chan Bibaak will visit Nasir town to declare her allegiance to the Government of South Sudan,” busy added.
