The University of Juba has unveiled a campus radio laboratory (radio station) besides a new two-year diploma course for journalism students on Wednesday.

The new state of the art two radio studios and a computer classroom facility has a fully digital sound proofed studio that is one of the most advanced in East Africa. The new facility is networked into the desktop editing systems in the classrooms.

The new radio station was built in a partnership between the university of Juba, the international NGO Internews and the University of Rhodes in South Africa with support from USAID.

The new radio will benefit journalism student in the development of the media sector in South Sudan.
