Traffic has resumed along the Juba-Bor road days after UNMISS deployed it troops along Juba-Bor road. the movement on Juba-Bor road was suspended over security concerns.
Jonglei State Governor, Philip Aguer issued a temporary suspension on Sunday after reports of alleged movement of unidentified gunmen reportedly planning to attack passengers.
Aguer is advising bus operators and other travelers to stay in touch with Bor town police and consult with military stations located along the route in Mongiri, Mangalla and Gemeza.
He stresses that obtaining security guidance is crucial to avoid a reoccurrence of an incident in May in which dozens of people were killed.
