Uganda’s strongman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, addressing a congregation on Sunday, November 4, Museveni said cooking, cleaning and other domestic chores were not a man’s job.
The remark has landed him in serious trouble for claiming men should never be spotted squatting in the kitchen cooking and washing dishes with their wives and daughters.
The president disclosed he last set foot in the kitchen 45 years ago when he got married to Janet and urged the rest of African men to borrow a leaf from the Nkore people from south-western Uganda who believe kitchen chores are meant for women.
