The current fuel crisis in the country has forced CE government owned Equator Broadcasting Cooperation (EBC) (both television and radio stations) to go off air after the management failed to get fuel for running the generators that power the stations.
A source at EBC said the station may be off air for some time until authorities at Nilepet look into the problem of supplying them fuel as they have not broadcast for two weeks now.
