One of the best SSTV’s news anchors Oyet Patrick might have realised that it was time for him to look for greener pastures elsewhere since the conditions at one of the country’s two TV stations are becoming unbearable.
The top journalist who has been reporting on peace talks for the better part of last year has quietly joined Chinese government owned CCTV Africa as a reporter for South Sudan.
Sources at government owned SSTV say majority of the journalists working at the state TV station are working as volunteers without a pay. Few journalists like Garang John and Rejoice Tio are paid.
