A reporter with local community radio in Tonj South County of Warrap state has been shot dead.
Marko Agei Makoor was on his way to Tonj South town when he was shot by an unknown gunman on Wednesday.
So far, no arrest has been made but police in Tonj are pursuing those responsible.
Acting Station Manager David Jong Akooi has called on the authorities to act against those involved in the killing of the journalist.
Marko Agei Makoor has worked for Door FM for the last three-years presenting a program of Education, Cultural show and Health programs.

According to Reporters Without Borders, at least 10 journalists have been killed in the country since 2011.
