The first Vice President Taban Deng Gai has said that the proposed new capital city, Ramciel will be ready by 2020.

While talking today at the inauguration of the newly constructed ministry of defense complex, Taban said that the government relocation to Ramciel will start in Feb 2020.

“Ramciel is coming soon, by Feb 2020. We’re in phase 2, & the President Kiir will approve the relocating of the SSPDF to Ramciel. We’ll discuss this with him,” FVP Gen Taban Deng said.

Ramciel master plan will cost three million US dollars to be financed by the government of Morocco.

Ramciel is located in the former Lakes State that will serve as the future site of the national capital. It is considered the geographic center of the country easily accessed by the three greater regions of Bahr-el-Ghazal, Equatoria and Upper Nile.
