South Sudan short film, Zawaja Gali by Cont De Monk and Sam Lokudu has been selected by Africa International Film Festival to represents South Sudan in its 7th annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), which officially kick off in Lagos, Nigeria yesterday.
The film will be screened at a 7-days AFRIFF vibrant and energetic film festival experience in Africa which celebrates filmmaking and filmmaking talent in the continent.
“For the first time ever, a film from South Sudan has made it to the ‘Official Selection’ list, and will be screened at the event, ” Sam posted on social media.
Sam and Cont’s first film, Zawaja Gali won a prestigious last month at 8th Silicon Valley African Film Festival, in San Jose, California, United State where they were awarded a special recognition award (‘Achievement In Narrative Short’) at the festival.
