Australia based South Sudanese producer and Dj Madengo, has released a new Afrobeat song that is already dominating Nigerian airwaves.

The versatile DJ who plays anything African while connecting it with his firsthand experience of western genre’s is not new to international collaborations. In 2017, he featured Uganda’s duo of Radio & Weasel in a smash hit “There She Go”.

His latest, titled “Ikebe” featuring Nigeria’s Terri is delivered in an excitement like tone with notes of crowd vocals to drive the chorus home. The song whose video is set to be premiered tomorrow 2/12/2022 is currently at number six in Nigeria’s Native Magazine top ten songs of the day.

One can easily say, this club banger is Africa’s response to Carribean’s “Bend Over”, judging from the lyrics and the African genre in it.

“I have already called my mum! I am not coming. Coz I have seen you have attitude.” The lyrics goes.

“Ikebe” is a Nigerian Pidgin English word for buttocks.
