Pal Bidong, a 20-year-old South Sudanese Australian rapper known as “Peezy,” was tragically shot dead at a Halloween party in Melbourne, Australia. The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 3:15 a.m. on Langford Street in North Melbourne in Australia.

Bidong was attending a Halloween rave when he was fatally shot. Authorities found him with a gunshot wound, and he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Kot Monoah, a South Sudanese Australian lawyer and former chairperson of the South Sudanese Community Association of Victoria, informed 9News that Bidong’s death may be connected to an ongoing “east versus west” feud between South Sudanese gangs in the area. However, Monoah emphasized that Bidong had no known links to any gang and appeared to be an innocent bystander caught in a dangerous situation.

The Melbourne community is now mourning the loss of the young rapper, whose promising career was cut tragically short.
