The South Sudan Artists Union and the mayor of Jubek state have agreed to scrutinize all night clubs in Juba city to ease a recent ban on nightclub operations.

Members of the Artists Union met with the governor on Wednesday to discuss the ban that has attracted discontent and dissatisfaction from the entertainment industry and a section of the public.

One of the concerns raised during a meeting was the issue of underage boys and girls accessing the entrainment spots.

South Sudan artists union Chairman, Garang Ateny says it was agreed that clubs in residential areas would register to receive clearance to operate.
