Kampala-based musician Slate Nation popularly know for his hit song Juba Juice couldn’t hold it together last night at the 2016 South Theater Academy Awards held at KICC, Nairobi, Kenya.
The musician busted into tears when he walked to the stage to the receive the award for the best song of the year. He won four times in various categories he was nominated in.
He couldn’t believe the love fans had for him and promises to do more for them.
“Man I am speechless, This is huge for me and my career thanks to the loyal fans. I dedicate this award for the best song of the year, Juba Juice to my mum”, He said while speaking to HIJ blogger.
Slate Nation bagged four Awards in The best Song of the year, Collabos of the year, dancehall artist and male artist of the year.
The annual STA Awards are organised by Kenya-based South Sudanese youth organisation, South Theatre Academy.
The Awards is in its fourth year in 2016. South Theatre Academy also organised STA beauty contests in Kenya and Uganda yearly.
