Six top South Sudanese musicians have been nominated for a music awards called Bingwa Music Awards in Kenya. The musicians Silver X, Coozos Clan, Mary Boyoi, Queen Zee, Emmanuel Jal and Dynamq will battle it out for the “Best Artist of The year in South Sudan” category of the Kenyan organised music awards.

Bingwa Awards is held annually recognise the best of the best in Kenya’s music industry and East Africa at large. South Sudan debuted in the awards last year when Silver X got a solo nomination which he lost.

This year however the awards organisers have created a category dedicated to South Sudan. The voting shall be done through SMS and each artist is issued a unique voting code.
