A 60-year-old man is currently at Juba teaching Hospital recovering after he was fatally shot in the chest with a poisonous arrow in Magwi County.

Reliable sources in Magwi County said this guy was shot with an arrow by his own relatives after mistaking him for ‘MTN’, a negative sentiment used by some tribal extremists to describe a certain ethnic group in South Sudan.

“the old man was coming back to the house in the evening when he his relative mistook him from ‘MTN’ and decided to shot with an Arrow,” said the reliable source in Magwi.

The arrow luckily doesn’t damage any essential organ in the body and the man is responding positively to the treatment.
