Ruweng State appoints 27-year-old female health minister
Ruweng State Governor, Major General Lawrence Miabok Dudi last week named 27-year-old Asunta Anuer as the state new Health Minister, tasked with restoring the deteriorating health condition in the state.
Asunta is the first youngest woman to hold a ministerial position in South Sudan’s history. She replaced Wuor Miaper who was promoted to SPLM-IO ranks in the army.
Asunta holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy, specializing in the properties and impacts of medicines and developing the skills required to counsel patients about their use.
