Nairobi based vocal rapper Dommy who is fond of confronting whoever he thinks is undermining his rap career has decided to pull out of South Sudanese theatre awards in Nairobi, STA Awards.
This comes days after he accused the founder Marko Madut and musician MC Ghetto of exploiting musicians. The rapper made announcement of social media citing undisclosed personal reasons for the decision.
The rapper was nominated in the category of the best rap artist of the year. He apologized to his fans incase he has disappointed them with the decision or if they have wasted their money voting for him when he was nominated.
STA Awards organizers are yet to respond to the rapper’s withdrawal from the awards which are slated for 5 December at KICC in Nairobi, Kenya.
BTW Hot in Juba is also nominated for STA Awards in the category of best youth media house of the year together with Talk of Juba, City FM and Eye Radio.
