Recently freed singer Queen Zee finally unleashes her first song since the release from prison last month. The one time arguably South Sudan’s best female singer has turned to God who she thanks for giving her hope when she was serving time at Juba Prison.
The singer who was Muslim when she was jailed allegedly converted to Christianity in jail. The song entitled “Umon Ma Deru Ana” which translates to “They Don’t Want Me” talks about musician’s faith in God. She says it’s God who rescued her when she was facing charges of murder.
The musician in an interview with HIJ last month said she was framed and had nothing to do the murder.
Queen Zee and others who were accused of murder were released last month for lack of evidence after spending 18 months in jail.
