President Salva Kiir says the SPLM party has abandoned its vision and turned against the people of South Sudan.

In a press briefing at the Presidential J1 offices in Juba today, President Kiir said the party is selling the country for which millions of South Sudanese have lost their lives.

In a strongly worded statement ahead of SPLA Day tomorrow, the President said ‘enough is enough’ and called on the leaders to set aside their greed for power.

“The fighting that has engulfed our country over the past five years is extremely petty because it is a struggle for power,” the President said.

Tomorrow, SPLA Day also known as May 16th will mark the 36th anniversary since the founding of the national army and the SPLM party.
