A cargo plane headed to Paloich which crashed this morning was carrying unknown number of passengers according to an official who spoke to National Courier. The official says that the SPLA has been assisting the Emergency Workers from Ministry of Health and NGO workers to recover bodies.

He said all the passengers and the crew have died except for one child and a man who have been rushed to Juba Teaching Hospital. He revealed that over 40 bodies have been recovered so far and more bodies are expected to be recovered.

He said their efforts to identify the deceased have been frustrated by the fact that there is no manifest (list) of passengers who were onboard the plane.
