More than one hundred young boys and girls were rounded up on Tuesday in a crackdown on what the authorities in Yambio described as indecent dressing.

Girls wearing miniskirts, and boys sporting weird haircuts, and wearing either tight jeans or trousers far below the waistline, were arrested and taken into police custody where they stayed for hours before they were pardoned with caution.

The Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement in Gbudue state, Jackson Ezekiel Bugwa cautioned the youths against the indecent behavior.

“If you want to dress, you dress like a human being so that it is known this is a girl or a boy dressed and going, but you left this, you see girls exposing their buttocks, and boys exposing their buttocks, trousers are pulled down,” said Ezekiel.
