Albino Bol Dhieu, National Youth Union has been arrested by security agents for alleged embezzlement of 1.5 million SSP from financial secretary’s office on Wednesday, a member of the union said.
In a press conference on Thursday, John Sebit, the youth union’s financial secretary confirmed that the youth leader was arrested on Wednesday evening by security forces. He accused Albino of embezzling funds from the office.
In March 2015, South Sudan youth union representing the country’s 28 states elected Albino with 1,010 votes while Lino Ajang, his main challenger, got 90 votes only in the presence of President Salva Kiir.
