National football team Bright Stars defeated 2 – 0 by Mali
The national team thought to have had the best squad ever after foreign based players were called went into the match without the star goalkeeper Juma Generio who failed to turn up because SSFA couldn’t reportedly pay for his visa from Khartoum.
Four players were flown back home from Rwanda with injuries or being sick two days ago after they had a friendly matches there. Among these players was the second goalkeeper.
The stars will now prepare for the next match against Equatorial Guinea on the 4th of September. This is set to be the first ever official national team match played in Juba.
Mali goals scored by Modibo Maiga at 17 mins and Salif Coulibaly at 29 mins all in first half.
