Jakob Kuyansuuk Isaac, MP in Yei River State Legislative Assembly has been shot dead. He was shot yesterday in Mejale town, near the border with Uganda.

He was rushed to the hospital but died of his injuries. He was from Liwolo County which he also represented in SLA.

Yei State authorities said in a statement they were investigating the murder.
