Meet South Sudan’s dancehall new kid on the block Wizzy Wizzy
Nothing but a burning desire to excel in him,yearning for success and readiness to learn and invent and create and change the game. Wizzy Wizzy has stepped on South Sudan’s growing music industry with noticeable gait.
Born in Alek payam of Gogrial West county in Warrap State 19 years ago, Thiep Kiir Gai known musically as Wizzy Wizzy has always had a passion for music from his younger years.
He is a hardworking young man, aggressive and very passionate about music. His prowess in music has seen him grace stages at several South Sudanese events in Uganda where is currently pursuing his studies. For him, the sky is the limit.
In 2012 he recorded his first song called “Pretty Girl” and it received massive support from the public which motivated him to even work harder. He released three more songs that year and he was encouraged to take music as a career.
He draws his musical inspiration from Ugandan star Vampino. His style of music is afro dancehall; a sound which appeals to various audiences that have listen to his music.
The young artist says his greatest hit was “She is a Queen” a collabo with Homeland Entertainment founder MT7 and his older brother Max Young who is also a musician. The song was received well earning him airplays at radio stations and clubs in Juba. Wizzy is currently signed to MT7’s Homeland Entertainment
Wizzy has worked with the likes of MT7, Max Young, Ugandan artist Vampino, to name a few. The musician says he is thriving to take South Sudan to a whole another level. He urges unity amongst South Sudanese musicians, since he believes unity is the key to success.
He is also currently working on shooting music videos for some of his favorite hits. The upcoming star dreams of making it big both at the regional and international scenes.
He is currently recording a couple of songs to be released soon.
We believe his sound will in its own way play its own part in shaping the fast growing South Sudanese music. Wizzy Wizzy ticks all the right boxes!
