“Why you dudes makin’ bets huh?

If you don’t see me as a threat huh?

I won’t be loosin or confusing u opportunists,

Cuz when I said it I meant it ..Ima Neva loses it.”

Cop those lines. Because they are coming from the only lady that is prognosticating South Sudan’s future in the hip hop genre right about now.

Princess Roda is without a doubt the only realest lyricist the country can bank on right now.

She has for the last 4 years been ‘cooking’ and spitting flawless rhymes in the United States without any prominence back at home. Some of y’all probably never heard of her.

But first before we tell you more about PR, marinate on these rhymes from her debut song ‘Stay Schemin’…

“…delusion’d chics wanna be me, u shud behave when u see me. Now u shud wave when u see me. Look I don’t explain why I be me. I must admit am a bully, a lady but a rider for my girly.

Am on my rock star fetish, PHD and masters in rapping giving lessons. You must believe am the bestest.

All the ladies if you hear me, you can do it, even if you’re 5 feet, do it in some 6 inch heels.”

Goddamn, she is the baddest!

Princess Roda, whom we suspect is from Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria state, fell in love with Hip Hop in her early days after seeing people in her neighborhood and cousins rapping. She said she followed suit by becoming an MC in respected to the culture.

She grew up in a place called BERKSHIRE in Washington D.C in the United States.

Before making her own Mixtape ‘UNCOMPROMIZED ART” in 2013, she said she was told that she had to be “sexy” in her lyricism or talk about things that did not matter.

“As a Poet/Emcee I decided that I wouldn’t compromise my art for anything or anyone. So my music is CONSCIOUS yet CURRENT Poetic and LYRICAL,” she said.

Her concise flow in rap and poetic-play with words enabled her share the same stage with U.S Hip Hopper/rapper, Common, in late 2013.

PR, as she likes to be call had said her C.D; “UNCOMPROMIZED ART” was to showcase the Witty lyricism, CURRENT, CONSCIOUS music that she is fond of.

Her style of music is generally: HIP HOP, RnB and POETRY.

She eventually released the album in late 2015, and has been appearing in shows alongside renowned South Sudanese artists in the U.S
