A 54-year-old man has been charged at a Meru court in Kenya for groping his daughter’s breasts.
The man was charged with committing an indecent with an adult contrary to section 11(A) of Sexual Offences Act.
The accused was charged that on April 9 at Ndurumuru village in Kisima location he intentionally touched the breasts of his 35-year-old daughter.
He was accused of committing the offence at around 7am after they had differed over foot path in their piece of land.
According to the police report, the complainant had gone to his father’s house where they had agreed to meet to iron out the matter when the incident occurred.
The report indicates that the father joined her at his home where they discussed the thorny issue but the father had a change of heart on where they had agreed to have a footpath.
It was at that point that the complainant went to the land and pulled down the fence where they had a mutual agreement.
“He pulled her over her neck and touched her breasts before stripping her naked. The complainant raised an alarm which made the accused run away with her clothes,’’ read a section of police report presented to the court.
According to the report, the plaintiff walked naked to report the incident to Kisima Chief Hellen Kaaria.
That is when she was advised to report the matter to Administration Police in Kisima and Subuigia police station.
The accused was later traced by the authorities and arrested before he was charged with the offence.
Appearing before Meru Principal Magistrate Stella Abuya the man denied the charges and was released on Sh100,000 bond with similar surety or a Sh50,000 cash bail.
The case will be heard on June 13.
