A man in Yei town has unsuccessfully chopped off his manhood after alleged misunderstands with his wife, according to relatives.

The man, in his twenties, suffered a serious blow when the incident turned tragic, leaving him hospitalized on Thursday.

“The man is currently at Yei Civil Hospital undergoing a surgical operation.You cannot imagine that a young man like that one can lose temper and chop off his manhood. We are trying our best to treat him,” a doctor said.

Joice, a family member, told media that Abui had attempted to commit suicide on Thursday morning but was rescued by neighbors.

“We did not know what happened to him. We had prayers in the house over his attempts to commit suicide. We only learned that he locked himself into his house and decided to cut off his sensitive reproductive organs,” she said.
