President Salva Kiir while briefing States governors, TGoNU Ministers, and Heads of Commissions on the recently signed peace agreement in Juba, Kiir informed the governors that some governor might be jobless if luck is not flipping with them.

He told the governor that as stipulated in the signed agreement between Government and the opposition, 14 states will be governed by governors from SPLM-IO.

“We are going to give 14 States to the Opposition #governors. Some of you will lose your positions, if you are lucky then you will be a deputy governor.” Salva Kiir said.

Kiir signed a peace agreement with rebels in June paving way for opposition leaders to work for the new unity government to rule for three years, followed by a general election.
