There has been varied reactions on social media for the better part of Friday following the incident where new minister of Water and Irrigation Mabior Garang was ejected from the first meeting of the TGoNU cabinet allegedly for inappropriate dressing.
Now the debate seems to have gone beyond our borders and caught attention controversial Kenyan senator Mike Mbuvi popularly known as Mike Sonko. The senator who represents Nairobi county in the parliament showed support for Mabior Garang by sharing Mabior’s pictures on Facebook with this caption:
“Ladies and gentlemen, introducing the current Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation in the Republic of South Sudan, Hon Mabior Garang De Mabior, son to Former President, Dr Garang… He is serving in the Unity government courtesy of Dr Riek Machar. All the best Mheshimiwa…. We are African and Africa is our Business”
Mike Sonko is also known for his controversial dressing style and flamboyance. He was thrown out of the parliament in 2011 when he entered sporting earrings.
