Junubin in Kampala fear being lynched by Ugandans over killing of musician
South Sudanese nationals living in Ugandan’s capital, Kampala are in fear of being lynched by angry Ugandans who are seeking revenge for a musician killed by police’s astray bullet on Tuesday night.
Ugandan musician Master Blaster was shot dead after he Ugandan police used live bullets to break up a fight in a night club according to media reports.
Residents of Bwaise surburb of Kampala who blame South Sudanese for the death of musician staged a protest on Wednesday and vowed to kill any South Sudanese they found on the streets. Riot police was called in to calm the angry protesters.
The musician was killed at Eden Park Club a venue where South Sudanese were holding their annual event.
