Junubin dominates British Council arts programme in Sudan

Last Saturday the British Council and the ministry of Culture Sudan featuring UK’s most innovative and collaborative event production company, Lyric Organix organised an event at Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum dubbed “The Horn of Africa Sonnets Festival” as a part of a series of events under the theme Shakespeare Lives in 2016. The event featured some young talented African Voices from Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia after 9 days workshop in Poetry, Music, Hip Hop, Drama and more with 4 Junubin representing the country and  amazing Poets and Youth workers from the UK; Dan Bayden, Dan Tsu from Lyrix Organix, Deana Rodger and David Fitzpatrick and Mustafa Khogali from the British Council.

The talents who represented South Sudan are; Benoni Mawa (Chico) “Music Producer”, Amin Dominic (Charismatic) “Rapper”, Noel Charles “Rapper” and Fred Lomoro “Poet.
