The Minister for Youths and Sports, Dr. Albino Bol, visited Juba Football Stadium and Buluk Playground with the President of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) Mr. Francis Amin and the Board of Directors to check out the progress of construction.
Speaking, to Media quickly after inspection of the two fields, Albino endorsed the GS Construction Company which is the contractor of the project to decorate its paintings to make sure that the Stadia are completed in time so that it will host sports activitities.
He unveiled that the authorities is planning to construct three countrywide Olympic stadia inside the country, mentioning that South Sudan is full of potentials in sports activities and therefore, it is the authorities’ priority to develop sports activities’ infrastructures, on the grounds that recreation can unite people.
On his part, Mr. Francis Amin assures that Juba Stadium will start to host suits after its of completion by using August this year. Amin said Buluk Playground was supposed to be finished in forty-five days and handed-over in April 2020, but, the construction work changed into hindered by means of COVID-19 pandemic.
However, Amin assured that Buluk Playground can be equipped by the end of July.
Meanwhile, Eng. Al-Tom Tombe, the Engineer Supervising the Construction, confirmed that 75% of the construction is already finished; assuring that the ultimate 25% could be accomplished within the next two months. Tombe lamented that COVID-19 has mired their work; however, they may be still putting extra efforts no matter the pandemic to make sure the crowning glory of the Stadium.
