The Independent Boundaries Commission(IBC) has commended 10 states for South Sudan after recieving report from
Technical Boundary Committee on people’s opinion on the number of states.
The report according to a letter seen by HIJ, IBC could not reach a consensus and they had to vote as per stipulated article 1.15.9 of R-ARCSS.
After voting the members of IBC suggestion the reversing of 32 state to 10 state.
IBC is made up of 15 members nominated among the Parties, supported by five experts nominated by the member states of the African Union High Level Ad Hoc Committee on South Sudan (South Africa, Algeria, Chad, Nigeria and Rwanda).
