The Independent Boundaries Commission IBC which started it work after completing a two-day meeting on Monday in Juba has hinted at dropping and reducing the number of states in S.Sudan. The meeting aimed at considering the number of states in #SouthSudan, their boundaries and their composition and restructuring of the Council of States.
In a statement seen by HIJ, IBC head, Ambassador Majola, a South African national is asking South Sudanese to voice their opinions on how many states should South Sudan have and why?
Responses should either be emailed to ibcss2019@gmail.com or hand delivered to IGAD South Sudan Liaison Office in Juba at Amarat.
IBC is headed by a South African national, Ambassador Thembi Majola and consists of four other members from the African Union High Level Ad Hoc Committee on South Sudan, five representatives from the incumbent government, two from the SPLM/A-IO.
