With 331,000 followers, Hot in Juba has become the most followed South Sudanese media outlet, beating the oldest media houses in the country like Eye Radio, Sudan Tribune, Radio Miraya and Radio Tamazuj.
Founded in 2015 at the heights of South Sudanese civil war, the digital outlet became the household name for many South Sudanese for breaking news and trending topics across the country making it the favourite and one stop news point for many.
With its sensational style of reporting and the tabloid journalism, the outlet outgrew its competitors in less than 3 years.
Hot in Juba was operated anonymously until it was recently incorporated under a digital media company Eight Seven Group Limited in South Sudan.
