The Minister of finance and planning says tax exemptions on two telecom companies are costing the government millions of dollars in lost revenue.

Stephen Dheu Dau confirmed to the MPs that Zain and Vivacell have been enjoying tax holidays but revealed that they will soon start paying the exercise duty.

The minister did not explain the circumstances under which the companies were exempted but said the exemptions will soon be ending to boost government revenue.
