US base South Sudanese basketball player Mangok Mathiang, has reportedly signed a two-way deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

The news was reported by the Charlotte Observer’s Rick Bonnell, with former North Carolina guard, Marcus Paige, set to join Mathiang on the same contract at the Hornets.
The two-way contract is the NBA’s new initiative, which will see Mathiang, who had a five-year career at the University of Louisville, earn approximately $320,000 over 45 days.

The 24-year-old will be a contracted player on the Hornets, but is expected to spend most of his time playing for their G-League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm.

The Charlotte Hornets are an American professional basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Hornets compete in the National Basketball Association, as a member club of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division.
