Celebrated SSTV news anchor Garang and former singer Paleki tied the knot in a glamorous wedding at Freedom Hall on Saturday in Juba.

The two who had their traditional Shilluk wedding last year, celebrated their beautiful union after a courtship that had lasted a while.

The wedding was well attended by media personalities and politicians.

Paleki a law graduate rose to fame when she represented South Sudan in East Africa’s singing competition, Tusker Project Fame in 2010. She joined SSTV as English news anchor after the TPF but left the TV career later to work for women empowerment NGO, South Sudanese Women Empowerment Network (SSWEN). Garang on the other hand remained at SSTV a senior English news anchor.
