Armed criminals on Tuesday raided the Nairobi home of senior IO official. They stole cash and jewelry estimated to be worth millions of shillings.

Four men, armed with a pistol, are said to have entered the home of the former minister of Water Affairs, Mabior Garang.

They tied his wife and brother with ropes and stole Sh120,000. Some of the money was in dollars.

Gold watches and other jewelry were stolen.

Three domestic workers, among them two Ugandans, are reported to have gone missing after the 3.30pm attack. Police suspect the servants could have colluded with the criminals.
