The former Deputy Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Majak Agot Atem has recovered from Coronavirus.
Majak is among the latest coronavirus patients who have recovered from the disease, raising the total number of people who recovered from the virus in the country to 48. He took to Twitter to announce his recovery and urges South Sudanese to observe COVID-19 measures.
“I’ve been in self-quarantine since May 25th. I had symptoms: high fever, shortness of breath, muscle ache, etc. A collaborative effort from doctors here & abroad (accessible online) saved my life. A sample was taken on Sunday & has now returned NEGATIVE. Thanks for yr prayers!,” he posted.
Riek Machar, Angelina Teny, Makuei Lueth and other senior government recovered from the virus this week.
South Sudan has 1,670 cases 48 recoveries and 24 death so far.
