South Sudan in a bid to improve on revenue collection, has appointed Rwandese Eugene Torero to head SouthSudan Revenue Authority.
This came after lengthy deliberation between government and African Development Bank (AfDB), Eugene will oversee the new body that will manage and handles country’s revenue collection all over the country.will be funded with funding from AfricaDevelopmentt Bank.
Eugene is Trademark country director in South Sudan and a director, Trade Policy/Facilitation at Trademark East Africa, a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee established in 2010 to support the growth of trade – both regional and international – in East Africa. TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is focused on ensuring gains from trade result in tangible gains for East Africans.
The body will be funded by Africa Development Bank.
