South Sudanese actor, musician, and activist, Emmanuel Jal is mourning the demise of his father, Simon Jok Gatwech.

Speaking to Hot in Juba,  a close family member confirmed the sad news, adding that his dad died after a long battle with sickness.

He reportedly died yesterday in Khartoum, Sudan where he was taken for treatment.

‘According to family members in Juba, Jal’s dad had been hospitalized for a few months before he succumbed.

He has been sick for some time. He had been residing in Khartoum where he was with his family members.

Fans and friends from different parts of the world have continued to send their messages of condolences to the family of the deceased following the loss.

According to the source, Simon Jok will be laid to rest in his ancestral home in Leer, Unity State.
