The government has said the United States President Donald Trump has promised to meet his counterpart Salva Kiir next month.
A statement released by the South Sudan presidency on Wednesday said the invite will come from the White House, Washington after the formation of the second unity government expected in November 2019.
“The First Vice President, Gen. Taban Deng Gai informed President Salva Kiir that the government of the United States of America has pledged and is ready to invite President Salva Kiir to the United States of America to meet with President Donald Trump after the formation of the Transitional government of National Unity in November, ” said part of the said.
