Domination has blasted South Theatre Academy (STA) for paying him only 3000 Kenya Shillings, an amount that is equivalent to only 29 dollars for his electrifying performance Saturday night at KICC in Nairobi, Kenya. In a social media post, the hiphop artist said the amount paid to him by the STA was too little to even record a single song at any production house in Kenya.
This is not the first time Domination who is also referred to as “Dommy” has fallen out with South Theatre Academy over the payment. Last year the singer called out the organisation over poor payment. He had accused STA of exploiting artists for their own benefits but later retracted his statement and apologised, saying that he has resolved differences with the organisation.
STA last year announced signing Domination to their label. It is not clear whether the rapper is still under the management of STA or independent.
