South Sudanese Pound has continued to show signs of appreciation against US Dollar in black market today.

The dollar exchange rate dropped for the first time after the signing of the Khartoum Declaration by President Kiir and various opposition groups in the Sudanese capital last week. The dollar exchanged rate had dropped from 31,000 SSP to 26,000 SSP for 100 dollars (310:1/260:1)

Today (Wednesday, 4 July) the exchange rate is 22,000 SSP for $100 (220:1)

Sources say the exchange rate is expected to drop further this week.
