Two men were on Thursday arrested in Juba for slaughtering dogs and selling dog’s meat toJuba residents.
The men were found in possession of the dog-meat when they tried to sell to a nyama choma vendor who was not aware of that it was dog’s meat.
According to police report the men confessed to selling dog-meat to unsuspecting junubin since 2017.
Juba court hands down a six-month prison sentence to the two dog-meat sellers.
“They were given a lenient sentence because they pleaded guilty to the charges,” Juba Deputy Mayor Thiik Thiik Mayardit said.
